The file menu contains most of the core functions of the Ringtone Converter

This option allows you to open a text file containing an RTTTL ringtone for use with the Converter.

Save Current Ringtone to File

This option allows you to save the current RTTTL ringtone to a number of different formats including Midi, Smaf, iMelody and more.

If your phone supports one of the formats,  it will usually tell you when you try to do a normal conversion as shown in the Getting Started guide.

Standard Phone Tools

The standard phone tools option allows you access to tools which are generally useful if you have a standard,  mono phonic phone.

These include tools like the Ringtone Composer,  a midi to RTTTL converter and import filters for various other types of text based ringtone formats you can then convert to work with your phone.

Polyphonic Phone Tools

The polyphonic phone tools option allows to access to tools which are generally useful if you have a polyphonic phone.

These include tools to convert midi into smaf format (useful for most eastern polyphonic phones like Samsung or Sharp),  tools to compress and trim midi files,  fix bad midi files,  and  even volume enhance files for your phone.

The final useful tool in this section is the wap server which allows you to add ringtones to your polyphonic phone without using cables.

This option will bring up the search form to search the internet for a specific ringtone.  More on this feature is available here.
